The TZ40 is a magnificent audio triode that was designed for high power audio use in class B. A pair would deliver 175 Watts at 5% distortion.The signal input would be 220 Volts peak to peak between the two grids. The anode load would be 7,000 Ohms.It is quite possible that the main use for this device would have been modulators for small AM transmitters.

I use either a calibrated Hickok 539C, TV-7D/U, or for new design tubes a calibrated B&K 747. Test results must exceed the tester minimums by at least 10%. I attempt to match all the tubes sold in pairs to within 7% of the test readings. Because I don't know the operating condition of your equipment, tubes are sold "as is". I may have several of the tubes being auctioned, and may NOT use a photo of the actual tube.
There may be some larger type tubes that I do not have the equipment to test for other than filament continuity (I'll put that in the listing).
INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS:
Because I can only test for technical things like transconductance, gas, shorts, etc., I cannot test for things you might think you don't like (tone, response, etc.).
