    Description

    General Electric GE 3CX1000A7 (8283) Amateur Radio RF Broadcast Tube. Made In The USA.
    The heater on this tube appears to be open. Per the spec sheet shown in the image provided, there is NO continuity between the 1st and 2nd level socket plates (open).  There is continuity from the underside base to lowest 1st level socket plate, but no continuity from the 1st plate/underside base to the 2nd level socket plate. There are no shorts showing from the grid (3rd socket plate) to heater, cathode or anode. This tube also appears to have been dinged on the side (see pics).  It is being sold "as is for parts only".  Will the filament light by tapping on it?  We never tried - be our guest!
    We will be listing a second GE 3CX1000A7 that DOES have continuity between the 1st and 2nd level "heater" soon - check our Ham Supply Store for that Listing and other tubes as well.
